The
Technology Committee for the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce opens the Technology lab to help the Hispanic
community to "Bridge the Digital Divide". The lab
was made possible by the dedication of the entire Technology
Committee and as been their primary focus for the last 18
months. Major Corporate sponsors for the project were IBM
who donated the computers and printers for the lab, SMU and
EDS who provide the bulk of the furniture for the faculty.
David
Gonzales, President of Open Integration Consulting and Chairman
of the Technology Committee said "We are so proud that
we were able to work together as a community to make this
lab a reality. This is a major milestones for the Hispanic
community is it quest to bridge the Digital Divide and I am
glad to have been part of this project."
The team
members of the committee in addition to David Gonzales were,
Guillermo Campos of Open Integration Consulting, Dan Sereseroz,
President of Adaptive Architecture(www.adapt2.com),
Shari Tompkins of Adaptive Architecture, Thurston Dixon of
EDS, Luis Gutirrez of EDS and the students of SMU who helped
in the setup of the lab.
